What Ho me Hearties

The time is nearly upon us for the annual Summer Solstice Dawn Dip with a sunrise sailing session scheduled for 0500 this Sunday (19th June)

This year it'll coincide with Fathers Day and what could be a nicer gift than the pleasure of their sleepy little faces as you wake them to join you on this adventure?

Now don't be late and make sure you're in the picture. I promise you it's all worth the effort in the end and may become a habit.

Sunrise on our east coast beach can be a beautiful thing and the forecast is good this year, the sort of days when memories are made.

We will make sure all the club dinghies are ready to roll, so just turn up with your wetsuits on (sleep in them if you like) and get afloat - who will be the first?

Winds are forecast for fabulous warm Force 2 Sou'westerlies and the seas may be glassy flat.

Its fun sailing until the Full English is served up at the club around 0800 to coincide with high tide (Even if you can't quite manage to get afloat please do join us for the grub)

Then back out on a full stomach ready for some fun racing at 1100 with a new event on the calendar: Martin's Mile promises to be a novel figure of 8 race set with just two gybe marks against a clock, remember to yell STARBOARD!

This is such a special day and bound to live long in our memories, imagine sailing until sunset after a predicted 16 hours and 40 minutes of unbroken sunshine

Pass the word, encourage your friends, all are welcome

Go on put yourselves in this years pictures
